A Journey to Wellness

About Me

A little bit about me, for my curious friends!

I have been blessed with a fabulous family and many wonderful people in my life. My faith, family, and friends give me strength and the ability to do what I do.

Like everyone else, I've experienced life in all of its complex glory. From growing up and never fitting in a small town, to 27 years in the Army, to finally becoming my authentic self, and everything in between. The "between" was filled with depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, suicidal thoughts, sexual trauma, PTSD, and other "life things" we don't need to dwell on.

Happily, I have grown through every joy and pain! After retiring in 2017, I struggled to combine my creativity, love for people, training, education, experience, and gift of encouragement to help others. When I began exploring "junk journals" I knew I found the answer.

Now, I combine my love of crafting with my experience and training to guide people through their own journey to self-discovery and mental wellness.

About the Logo

As with most things, the logo underwent many transitions before it became the glorious message it currently provides.

  • The path represents our journey through life in all of its maddening and exciting trials.

  • The trees represent growth and connection with all things.

  • The rocks and tree roots along the path represent the things that often slow us along the way.

  • The "weeds" i.e. dandelions, are a symbol of hope, resilience, healing, and transformation.

  • The sun represents hope and life.

  • The book, is the Journey Journal you create to aide you along your journey.

Products Used

Because a main component of Journey Journals is repurposing & reusing items, most of the items used can be found around the house. I've provided a list of what types of items you want to bring to class with you.

I also use Stampin' Up! products as I personally believe the paper is excellent quality. These products are used in the card-making classes, my kits, and the classes in which I provide "IT ALL."
